Open Question: How do I find if a person owns real estate/property? (All I know is the name of the person not the county)?

I know people say go check the County Tax assessors office. But I don't know which counties he lived in or owns properties. All I know is the name of the person. How do I find what properties he owns? Are there any good monthly paid sites, any one knows?
