Hello, my father owns half a commercial property in Texas, and he is overseas now, and I am in Texas. His partner got the money for it and wants to buy it from my father. My father wants to send me the power of attorney so that he doesn't have to come all the way to Texas to make the sale. Can you please provide me with a complete solution, because I know nothing about this subject, and if there is another way can you please help me out and explain it? Thank you.

My ex and I signed a contract to sell our house by shortsale since neither of us could refinance. The house had a buyer and was proceeding with the sale with no problems. I just found out that my ex, filed for bankruptcy recently now and the sale is halted. She was under court order to not impede the sale of the house and yet she still filed, providing false info on her forms, I might add. Isn't that illegal? What recourse do I have??

I just received an eviction notice stating I have 20 days to vacate the premises. He does not allow smoking on the property, so I usually go out to the steet or the car. On my eviction notice, he claimed he saw "smoke billowing out of my window" and that is just cause to evict me. I have NOT been smoking in my unit. He is a smoking Nazi, and a nosy landlord. Does he have to prove I have been smoking inside, or actually have seen me smoke or can he just throw us out?? I have a young child and we have no place to go. I need help and fast. I don't want to have to live in a shelter.

i just turned 18 years old (on NOV), i am in college and plan on buying a home for my parents. My parent both do not have a valid SSN so im there only chance. the next day after i turned 18 i bought a 2011 honda accord LX v6. i used a co signer for the car, my parent have their own store about 5K square feet, we have enough for the payment, we can afford up to 2500 monthly. We have 15K we can put down, the only problem is the qualification cuz of my age, in my job i make about 11K yearly, but what are the requirements to home buying at 18. i can have my parents add me as a worker at the store making 35K yearly, so that can be about 45K either way they will be the ones paying for the house, they just need me to get the house. and the car did come out of my name as primary owner, i got the car 3 months ago, and i already did 6 payemnts please help me and my family

My fiance and I are purchasing our first home via FHA and would like to know if, in the case that the seller does not agree to pay any part of the closing cost, we can include the closing costs into our loan.

My family and I are trying to find a place to live, we called the number on one of the ads and met the woman at the units. She took us inside (someone else is currently living there) and had us fill out an application. She asked the usual questions "Where do you work?" "Will you be able to pay the rent every month?" "Do you have kids?" and I guess we answered the questions right because she said she'd let us put down the deposit tomorrow when the bank opens and wont show it. It can be ours if we just put down the deposit tomorrow (other people are coming to look at it she says). I felt like she was a bit pushy, but she did drive an hour to get here and show it to us, and it is cold and was about 5:30pm she could be hungry so I can't really blame her for just wanting to go. But requiring us to decide by the next day? It's a $650 deposit by tomarrow and then $650 for rent and a $200 pet deposit by March 1st (today is Feb 8). So we'd be broke for the next two weeks until we got paid and then broke again until our next check after paying the rent and pet deposit. It isn't too good to be real, the price is fair (actually a bit steep for a small place like that) and it allows cats. So it isn't as if it's perfect. But we just need somewhere to live and no where else we've found will allow our cats AND doesn't have stairs. So what do you guys think? Do we go with it and be broke for a bit or do we pass it up and hope another place comes along? The lady living in it is moving out at the end of the month. That's why she's still there. We filled out an application, she even offered to let us take the application and fax it to her later but we were egar so we filled it out there and then she said we could pay the down payment for it. I guess 1,300 in 3 weeks is a lot. We even mentioned that we'd be broke if we gave it to her. We can only come up with about $500 and that's if we don't buy anything until we get paid. She offered to let us drive to her or she'd come to us to fill out the lease. But wants the money first. I don't see why we can't bring her money and she brings the lease for us to fill out and we trade. But I don't know much about this stuff.

I live in Calgary, Alberta and live in a room that has no windows. It isn't technically a suite, just a room in a house (shared accommodation). I have no lease/rental agreement, it's a month to month basis and I didn't really see how it could hurt. As well, I overheard the "on-site manager" (basically just one roommate who looks after who moves in and takes care of getting rent to the landlord), talking to the other roommate and talking about how my damage deposit is being used to cover HIS portion of the bills, rent, and groceries. As far as I know, this is NOT what a damage deposit is for. Is there anything I can do about it? Sorry I should have said. I do have receipts for the rent and damage deposit.
