My mother died in January from Cancer. The landlord does not know about her passing. I have been writing the rent checks the last 3 months...She has not cashed the check so I called the Landlord and asked if she had gotten the checks....she called back and said... " I got you checks, but the reason I have not cashed them is because you are not on the lease. Your mother is. We wrote her a letter a couple months ago and asked if I could be put on the lease and she said that it was not needed. So she would not put me on the lease. Anyways...my grandmother is a lawyer and told me not to worry. but I still am. She told me that she will contact the housing attorney and see what we can do....I understand that she could kick me out? Please help....I'm 23 yrs, male only child...mom has no brother or sisters. From Bay area

I purchased a home last year. The seller (my neighbor's aunt) did not disclose that my neighbor was hooked up to my water well. She also did not disclose that a neighboring camp is hooked up to my water, and to my electricity as well. My electric bill is always over $200 even though I don't use that much electricity. I gave the neighbor 6 months to get his own water and now he's mad at me. This guy has come to my house twice and threatened people. He never offered to help pay for the repair of the pump or help pay for the cost of running the pump. My neighbor's dad owns the camp that is hooked up to my utilities. I feel that purchasing this house has put me in the middle of a nightmare. What can I do?

I know that student loans can count against you in buying a house as they are a debt but I dont know if we use student loans as a source of income while in college if we can count that as monthly income. So, my hubby and I are both in school, we have taken out student loans to help substidize our income so that we can go to school full time and work Part-time. We would like to try to buy a home (townhouse etc) soon. is it possible to count our student loans as income as that is how we pay for rent right now?
