I am on the lease of my ex's and my trailer house. We started in May 2007. I haven't been there in 9 months because he wouldn't work. I was wondering if I had a right to be there because I am still on the lease. I dont need advice on him, but I was just wondering is all. Thanks very much and I will give 10 points to the best answer.

My parents have 2 houses, paying mortgages for both of them still, but one should be payed off in about 10 years. I have seen files where me and my brothers are listed as beneficiaries, I'm not sure if that's from their bank account or houses. Do they have to make a will in order for us to inherit the houses? If we do get them, do we just continue on paying the mortgages, or are there some fees to pay when we inherit it. The only reason I ask is cause my parents have talked to us about this already, but I am not sure if they have all the required paper work for it done. They are not very educated in these types of areas (English is their second language and they did not finish high school) Any help on this matter would be great so that someday I could help my parents out with this situation.

I like to give people a chance if they're in a tough spot so I agreed to rent out one of my places to someone with credit so bad there's no way anyone else will take him. For ex. he has had a foreclosure and so on but now I am getting nervous as he will be moving in on the first and what if he ends up not paying rent like he missed his mortgage payments then it takes me a long time to try to kick him out. Am I making a mistake or do people with bad credit need a chance too? His employment just says self employed. I haven't been this uncertain about a tennant so I dunno.

I actually went to office depot and bought a lease agreement and had I filled it out. It states that my ex and I will pay 250$ a month until September 2009 and it is ours. My boyfriend kicked me out about 9 months ago and I was wondering if he would be the only one on the title of the trailer when it is paid off later this year. I am clearly still on the lease. If I pay the half back rent do you think I could get it in my name as well. I paid all the rent and bills when I was there. I left because he wouldn't work. Please give any legal advice you can give. I don't need advice about him. Thank you

This is my first time living in an apartment. Me and my husband just had a baby. When the new neighbors arrive they are this young couple about 18 years old. They will go up and down the stairs slamming doors. Last Saturday they threw a party 3 am they wake up the baby. This has been going on for over a month and I live only next door to him feel sorry for the guy below. Anyways we went over to the Apartment Manager told them the situation and they said they had many complaints about them that they will put a note on the door. Later on the boyfriend of the girl next door kept on going up and down the stairs slamming the door. He went up and down about 10 times within the past 5 mins. He wasn't bringing up groceries either. So my husband went over and talk to him just saying hey can you not slam the door it does wake our new baby. The guy said Oh ya sorry about that. Well now its 1 am and they keep on going in and out slamming doors. Can someone help me before I lose my Mind?

My bank says I can't because they sell their loans and multi-Unit properties are not allowed. I wonder if there are options and have the new Fannie Mae rules changed that now allow this type of mortgage at 97%...Thnks

Not sure what to do. My boyfriend and I leased a home in Pennsylvania. When I gave my landlord the rent check on March 2nd (is actually due the first, but it was a Sunday; I don't do monetary business on Sundays) I notified him verbally that my boyfriend that we would be moving in 30 days, which would put it at April 2nd to be completely moved out. Ok so we were completely moved out Tues. March 31. My boyfriend and I went to house and did a final walk-through to make sure everything was clean, and that we didn't leave any belongings behind. So then we give the keys to the landlord(his house is in front of ours) expecting to have a final walk-through with him to make sure everything was in order, & that if he wanted to dispute anything, he could easily confront us about it. (A lot of damage was done to the house from prior tenants & no current "damages" were noted in our lease, as to what was not our doing. However, the landlord claimed he was too busy (I'm not sure how a person who doesn't have a job, can be too busy). He then stated that he would return our security deposit within 3 weeks. However, he had never cashed our last month's rent check. I'm worried that he will be shady(I don't trust him) and claim that such & such was our fault & take it out of our security deposit. I would have liked to have known up front any $ that would need to be taken out of the deposit. I'm just wondering if it would be a wise idea for me to do a "stop-payment" on the check w/ my bank?? I don't trust him at all! He was a horrible landlord. Any advice or suggestions??

Im a senior in college. I stayed on campus in the apartments for two years until November of last year. I moved out because in September of 2008 they said tht I had a balance from JUNE tht they claimed I owed and never payed. So, I didnt have a reciept so I repayed them the money. Then the next month in October they said tht they supposedly found more fees or utility bills tht I owed but said they didnt send out a notice for it because they were in the process of switching to a new management. I couldnt pay them tht extra money then so they put a hold on my student accnt to where I couldnt register for the next semester in january of 2009. So they said I could move out in November and pay the overdue balance in january and they would take the hold off so tht I can go back to school. SO I did this kept the recepit and went to school this whole semester lived off campus. Now recently the apartments resubmitted my info to my school again to put another hold on my account stating that they found more charges tht I owe and I havent even lived there since Nov. of 2008. They never got rid of my personal information and used tht to submit to my school as if I still lived there. They never sent me an email or called this whole time to inform me tht I had a supposed balance again. Is this legal what they are doing? Can they submit my personal info without first trying to contact me to let me know about the situation? My college says tht since they are a privatley owned apartments on campus the school just plays the middle man they dnt investigate nothing the apartments do they just place the holds so tht the students cant enroll until we pay whatever they say tht we owe. So I asked my school if I payed them this time what if they still keep my information and submit tht again will it be valid and they said yesss! Is this legal? How can I protect my info I have receipts and the paperwork stating tht Im no longer under the lease anymore.
