So I've been apartment hunting for the past 2 weeks and have found a great complex where everything is perfect, but the only unit they have is on the 1st floor. Has anyone lived on 1st floor apartments and couldn't stand it because of the noise above? I'm trying to decide if it is something I can live with or not.

I had marshlands in front of my office and secured a wetlands permit to build a pond. Is this considered a capital improvement?

It is currently at 6.25% but I could refinance for 5.35%. We plan on having this home for atleast 5 more years, hopefully more, we are military, and will be renting it out when we move but are trying to keep onto it for as long as possible.

the person that shows the apartment, do they get a commission when the lease is signed?

is it legal for a broker to have us selling our house on our contract for a year AFTER we signed the contract? we didnt know until after we sighned the contract
its not sold he wants us to buy a dump house that is worth more then our house and is NOT live able in and it right up the street..she added things to our contracted AFTER we already signed the contract..this is totally against the law isnt it?

I have no idea about auctions and stuff but I like the idea of trying to buy a house for the starting pice of say $500 and well I don't no anything about auctions..does it cost to get in?What happens if your the highest bidder?Do you get the house right away?

I signed a lease in May and got served with forclosure papers a few days ago. I paid this guy 1st, 2nd & 3rd to move in. I spoke with him about this and advised how upset we were...cause he should have been honest with us at the time of signing. But my question is:
Do I have a right to my security deposit? And, if I want to move out because of this to secure my family, will I be breaking lease?
In my conversation with the LL he first said he was going to try and get the mortgage modified, then later he said he had a "potiential" investor then he let out how much this property was hell for him and he's been wanting to get out of it... so I don't know what he's going to do nor can I believe him at this point. I have someone that is willing to rent me a nice home and because of what happened to me, is not asking for deposit or anything. They are very nice people who even said that I can check their property and credit if I want to be sure this time and I don't want to loose that by waiting around to see if the bank is going o tell us to leave. I'm not sure what to do!
