We are thinking about buying a home in Hawaii but heard you can never own the land, only lease it. Can someone please explain this to me. What happens when we pass away, can we will the property away or what happens to the land/house? Please someone help, is it worth it to buy in Hawaii?

Im trying to buy a house in the Saint Petersburg/Pinellas Co. area. I have no Idea what square footage I should be aiming for, let alone what price range. I have 20 thousand saved for buying my home, and Im eligable for the VA loan. What house size and price range should I be looking for?

I moved in with 2 of my friends about 5 months ago. We had a lease for 6 months in total, from May 1st to Oct 31st. Well, my one roommate up and left, leaving my other roommate and I to pay the full 800 between the two of us. Now, the problem is, the reason all three of us moved together was so we could afford the rent. When all three of us were living there, we paid 266 each on the rent, then when he left, we had to pay 400 each. Which may not seem much, but we did not make much money with our jobs. So, I have since moved back into my mothers house, as did my other roommate. We have one month left on the lease, and the landlady is coming after me for the full months rent. She is not getting a hold of either of the guys, but just me. So I am the one dealing with the stress. So, my question is, what to do? I know I have to pay the last months rent due to the legal lease. But should she not have gone after the guy who ditched first to make him continue paying for his share of the rent? He is on the lease as well, not just me. All three of us are. I have given her his contact information, but she is only bugging me. What should I do?

They own it and it's on the Ocean in Daytona Beach. Were not sure if this is a good deal or not because we dont know a whole lot about time shares. Does anyone know how these work and if we can rent them out to make money off it? We have the car forsale for $25,000 but it's worth $33,000 so dont know if this is a good trade.

Tenant had a moisture issue in a basement apt because the dehumidifier broke down. The condenser went so it was running but not doing anything. Tenant had a boyfriend move in with a bunch of furniture he got off of some curb and is now claiming it was ruined and worth $2500. Example Queen-sized bed on mismatched Full-sized box frame they want $300. Boyfriend never signed onto lease. Can I avoid paying damages if he is not on the lease?
